An Update on BackerKit (not yet ready) Current Contests and New Rewards for Rain's Girl Genius Game Campaign

Hi everyone! We're finally getting some proper Seattle rain, which is making us very happy. Otherwise, I'm busy getting the last of the book put together. Also, four huge pallets of playmats showed up and I had to sign several thousand mats and certificates of authenticity. So–I haven't had time to finish up the BackerKit survey yet. I'm sorry about that, I expect to get it done soon, and I'll let you all know when it's ready.
We are currently running a special promotion on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages, and I have an announcement about the other Kickstarter that is not ours but concerns us a good deal:
If Rain's campaign funds, their backers at the $30 and up levels will get a PDF of Girl Genius Volumes 1-20 as an extra present from Studio Foglio, as well as a PDF of all three of Phil's Buck Godot: zap gun for hire comics! That's a more than $200 value at full price. I'm adding it on as a special gift from us because I REALLY want this game to happen.
Special Girl Genius Art Book Backer Level Added to Rain Games' Kickstarter Campaign
Rain has now added a level just for the lovely art book that will be connected with the game. This book will be made with lots of involvement from us, we're even set to do a special Girl Genius extra story. Something involving Castle Heterodyne, of course, around 15 pages.
This game is slated for a release on Steam for PC and Mac, as well as for the Nintendo Switch.
Rain is an established game developer with some great Steampunk games already out there. Check out Teslagrad, World to the West, and coming soon, Mesmer!

Announcing Our Latest Girl Genius License: Adventures in Castle Heterodyne!

So, while we're waiting for the BackerKit survey for Queens and Pirates, here's another Kickstarter campaign for your entertainment: Rain Games' Girl Genius, Adventures in Castle Heterodyne!
This is a Metroidvania-style video game, initially for the PC (including Mac and Linux) and moving on to other platforms where possible. We really like the art Rain has put together so far, especially the mischievous expressions they're getting for Agatha. Perfect!
Having a Girl Genius video game like this has been on our wishlist for a LONG time! If you like video games, we hope you'll back this one, and help us spread the word!

The Campaign Has Ended! Thank You, Everyone!

Well, the Sparks and Monsters campaign has ended. Thanks very much to all of our backers! We're astonished and thrilled to see so much participation this time, we really weren't sure what was going to happen. We actually reached more backers this time than in any of our previous campaigns, except for the very first one, where we reprinted nearly everything and things went a little crazy.
SO, now it's time for me to pull the BackerKit surveys together. When the surveys are ready, our backers will get an email with a personal login to the BackerKit campaign manager. This is where you'll calculate and pay for shipping, and any extra items that you choose to add.
At that time, we'll also be opening up the BackerKit store to people who may have missed the campaign. This will be the last chance for the campaign exclusives.
I'll be posting here to keep everyone up to date about our progress. Watch this space!

New Last Minute Stretch Goals Have Been Added to Girl Genius: Sparks and Monsters!

There are only four hours left in the Sparks and Monsters campaign, which ends at 11:59 Pacific time tonight (Monday, August 24.) I added a bunch of new stretch goals anyway. This is going to be the most-stuffed Envelope of Madness we've ever done!
If we get to the $170,000 stretch goal, then, aside from the EoM, each level that includes a book will also include one of our Girl Genius posters. This is the one we did two years ago with Kings and Wizards. We had intended to take them to the Summer conventions this year, but that didn't happen, so out they go to backers instead!
And, if we get to the $180,000 goal, each Envelope of Madness will include a Jägermonster Celebration art card in addition to the "Thank You" art card.

A couple of weeks after the campaign ends, we'll send all of our backers an email with a personal login to the BackerKit campaign manager. This is where you'll calculate and pay for shipping, and any extra items that you choose to add.

Something to keep in mind: Kickstarter backers get discounted prices on some of the items in the BackerKit store. It's a perk for backing early!
